Sharon White

Sharon grew up enjoying the two loves of her life, ponies and painting. Her first commission came as soon as she left school. Working with horses won over art college, so she took a couple of evening classes locally to learn important drawing skills.
Animal commissions continued whilst caring for her family and working. Pastels became a well loved medium at this time.

Sharon then tried out acrylics, large scale, but negative criticism from a gallery caused her to stop painting for 5 years. During this time she ran her own business, but could not keep away from art, and has now returned to it with enthusiasm and purpose, exhibiting and selling work locally and abroad.

In 2017 she came runner up in the Art in the City event in Gloucester, this recognition gave her the confidence to persue her love of art.

She looks forward to trying out new ideas and ‘tricks’ to extend the possibilities with paint and other mediums, always pushing the boundaries. Anything goes now and Sharon wishes her followers continue to enjoy and share her enthusiasm and she hopes she can encourage others to follow their dreams too.
